  • The Tzedakah Box Charity of the Month for February is Rainforest Alliance.Rainforests are being destroyed every day, putting the countless species that depend on them in jeopardy. Support helps Rainforest Alliance, founded in 1987, fight habitat loss and climate change, working with local communities to conserve forests and prosper. To date, over 125 million acres in 74 nations have been saved. Two of our Religious School students, Ethan Meltzer and Ryan Brenner selected this as their charity for the 7th grade Tzedakah Project contest. Please support their chosen charity by donating generously.“How Often is More Important than How Much.”

  • Beth El’s Study & Discussion Group in collaboration with Rabbi’s Lunch & Learn – Monday, February 11th at 12:30 PM. Subject: Immigration: National Borders, National Values, & Jewish Values…second part of the discussion. Bring your own dairy lunch – dessert and drinks will be provided.
  • Wednesday, February 13th at 7:00 PM – Beth El’s Film Festival presents “In Between.” This film is about three Palestinian women living in an apartment in Tel Aviv fighting the constraints of their Muslim faith and families while trying to find a balance between traditional and modern culture. Admission is free. Snacks will be served.
  • Wednesday, February 20that 7:30 PM – Adult Education Committee presents Chacham Yosef Chaim of Baghdad, a lecture facilitated by Justin Beck which will illuminate Chaim’s contributions and provide some of his relevant teachings. This program is free and open to the community. Light refreshments will be served.
  • Casino Night & Auction – Saturday, March 9th at 6:30 PM.Get ready for a fun-filled Casino Night and Auction. Games include Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, Craps with Tapas-Style Food with a Top-Shelf Bar. All admission tickets include gaming chips. Prizes will be awarded for top winners!
