Our Mission to Israel

In recent news and commentary, there are those who have opined that there may be a growing divide between Israel and the American Jewish community. If at all true, this is deeply troubling. As a community, we should work to do our part to preserve and strengthen the bond between the State of Israel and American Jewry. Experiencing Israel communally furthers the critical goal of deepening that bond, while also serving to strengthen our relationships within our own synagogue community.

With this in mind, we are very excited about beginning to plan our synagogue’s mission to Israel. This mission is for every congregant – families, couples and individuals are all welcome. This trip will be a wonderful way to experience Israel; it can also serve as a meaningful way to celebrate a special occasion, such as an anniversary, a birthday or a bar/bat mitzvah. The mission will be subsidized by the Torah Fund, and will likely be during 2020 or 2021.

This mission will be an opportunity for the Beth El community to do our part towards preserving the indelible relationship with Israel, while deepening the bonds that unite our own synagogue community.
